Endo-dontics refers to root canal treatment and is one of the types of dentistry which deals with the tooth pulp and also the tissues which surround the root of the tooth. Endodontic treatment is required when the pulp which contains nerves, venules and lymphatic tissue and fibrous tissue become diseased or injured and is often unable to repair itself resulting to death of the same.
